So yesterday I was so preoccupied by the scary bridge that I didn’t get a chance to process the information from the classroom observations I saw. In the classroom I observed, the students have autism. They also, as is common in autism, have some very strong interests. One student loves pencils and other things that roll, one loves fishing, and one (like me!) loves Pokemon Go. I think these passions that we pursue give us a purpose and a distraction.
